device3dfx-source software package provides Linux 2.2+ device driver source for 3Dfx boards, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install device3dfx-source
device3dfx-source is installed in your system.
Make ensure the device3dfx-source package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep device3dfx-source *
You will get with device3dfx-source package name, version, architecture and description in a table
